Tucked away behind the Seahorse you will find “The Cantina”, our cellar and an intimate private dining room that can seat up to 14 guests around a beautiful walnut table. The room has its own open kitchen where the Seahorse chefs will prepare your meal whilst pre dinner drinks are taken in Joe’s bar and your dedicated waiter will look after your every need.
We have designed the Cantina to feel comfortable and capture the special atmosphere that The Seahorse is known for, we want our guests to feel relaxed and at home.
The food at the Cantina is Italian with a wide range of seasonal anti pasti, pastas and risottos, guests eating in the Cantina will be invited to tailor their menu to their tastes via our website. Fresh seafood from the days market will be a focus such as whole roasted turbot, sea bass in ocean salt and Cacciucco, the rich seafood stew of Livorno. For guests wishing to eat meat we can prepare whole suckling pigs or charcoal grilled beef ribs from our outside grill. Main courses are served family style to the whole table to make a real occasion of each meal.
Our full wine list of over 150 bins is available with wines priced from £25. For guests wishing to drink fine and limited wines on bottles over £100 there is a cap of £40 on what we add to cover service, we want to make drinking special bottles accessible to our guests.
There is no premium, hire or service charge to dine in the Cantina, we ask for a minimum spend of £800, the room is available for parties of 2 to 14.
We also have occasional trattoria nights in the Cantina where you can book a seat at the table and enjoy a set menu meal with Mitch, Mat, Jake or one of our team looking after you. Dates coming up include 13-16th March 2018 - call us to book your place on these dates.
